On August 4th, The Discovery Channel will run an episode titled ‘Birth of a Mitsubishi i-MiEV’. The show will run in Canada, with no word if or when it will show in the U.S. The episode airs August 4 at 7pm Eastern, 4pm Pacific. U.S. i-MiEV fans should probably keep their eyes on the listings, as it’ll no doubt be shown on Discovery in other countries – eventually.

During the first six months of 2012, Mitsubishi sold 333 i MiEVs. The i is rated by the EPA to go 62 miles on a single charge, and until the Honda Fit EV, was rated the most efficient electric vehicle at 112MPGe – the Honda Fit EV received a rating of 118MPGe.
