Cadillac ELR

The Cadillac ELR will be the first electric vehicle from the General Motors luxury brand. Unveiled on January 15th at the North American International Auto Show, the production ready Cadillac ELR sports 20 inch wheels, led lights all around, and a leather wrapped luxury interior. The ELR shares the Voltec drivetrain with the Chevy Volt. The ELR will be available in early 2014 in the U.S. with global markets like Europe and China to follow.

Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid

The Honda Clarity plug-in Hybrid uses a 17 kWh battery to go up to 47 miles as rated by the EPA. The small gasoline engine is programmed only to kick on when needed, making this more of a range-extended electric vehicle than a typical plug-in hybrid that splits power to both powertrains.
