ZipCar adds Honda Fit EVs to San Francisco

Car sharing service Zipcar says the Honda Fit EV will be available to San Francisco customers starting this month. Zipcar will station Honda Fit electric vehicles at City Hall as well as the InterContinental and Parc 55 hotels. The car-sharing company will rent out the Fit electric vehicles at a rate of $8 per hour. Zipcar says the Honda Fit EV can be recharged from their 240-volt stations in less than three hours.

Zipcar will hold free test drives this week at the Herman Plaza.

The car sharing company plans to add the Honda Fit EV to its fleets in Los Angeles and Portland later this year.

Honda is leasing out a limited number of Fit EVs for $389 per month. To discuss the Honda Fit EV with owners, visit our Fit EV forum.
