In 2015, Chrysler is launching the next-generation Town & Country minivan. Shortly after that, they will be releasing a plug-in hybrid version of it as well.
At the Paris Auto Show, CEO Sergio Marchionne confirmed the new vehicle will arrive a year earlier than was previously mentioned.
Back in May, at an investor presentation, Chrysler said the next-generation minivans will be ‘ripe for hybrids’ and Chrysler brand head Al Gardner said the Town & Country plug-in hybrid could achieve the fuel economy that would rival a Toyota Prius.
The minivan will be powered by a gasoline engine and a battery pack – and presumably an electric motor… that’s the only information we know so far.
