Infiniti Electric Vehicles

As Nissan’s luxury brand, Infiniti does not have a long history of electric vehicles, or even research in the area. Instead, its parent company Nissan has done all the heavy lifting. Now, as electric vehicles become more widespread, Infiniti released the Emerg-E concept car, and has now announced the Infiniti LE will be produced in late 2013 as a 2014 Infiniti LE.

Infiniti LE

The Infiniti LE is based on the Nissan Leaf platform. The LE concept was powered by a 100 kW electric motor, 20 kW larger than the motor in the Leaf. The LE is said to have a 24 kWh battery pack, just like the Leaf. The Infiniti LE will be the first production electric vehicle to have inductive wireless charging that allows the EV to be parked over a charge point located in the floor (or charged via the CHAdeMO quick charger as well).
