Fisker Delivers 1000 Fisker Karma Electric Vehicles

Fisker Automotive has announced that the company’s revenue for the first 4 months of 2012 exceeded $100 million. Total funding for Fisker Automotive has exceeded a billion dollars, and all of this is for a company that has 1 product – the Fisker Karma electric vehicle.

Fisker has sold 1000 Karmas in 6 months which averages 5 1/2 per day – all of this for a $100,000 car from a brand new company. Even though that’s a large number of electric vehicles, Fisker had plans to sell 15,000 of them in 2012, but it doesn’t look like Fisker will make that foal.

Fisker CEO Tom LaSorda said ‘We are encouraged by solid demand for the Karma’ and that when Fisker completes the rest of it’s investment sourcing it is ready to move ahead with the expansion and development of the Fisker Atlantic.

The Fisker Atlantic will be a less expensive model that Fisker is hoping will be a higher volume model.
