Drayson Racing sets new electric vehicle land record (video)

Lord Paul Drayson claims to have set a new land speed record for electric vehicle weighing 999kg or less. The record was set at Elvington Airfield in Yorkshire, and the Drayson B12 69 electric vehicle achieved an average of 205.139 mph over 2 runs within one hour (as required to set an official record).

Prior to this new record, the previous record was also set by Lord Paul Drayson at 204.185 mph.

  • British land speed record any propulsion type vehicle driven by their wheels over one mile from a flying start at 219.1 mph
