Coda Sedan being recalled for side airbag issues

CODA Automotive is recalling 2012 model year vehicles due to improperly rolled side curtain airbags. The airbags were rolled the wrong way when installed, which could cause the airbag to not deploy as intended in the event of a crash.

Coda says this recall supersedes the previous recall 12v-409. All owners will be notified and instructed to go to CODA dealers to have both side curtain airbags replaced free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin around June 11, 2013. The recall campaign number is R84002.

Remember, though, Coda is in bankruptcy right now. Will Coda be able to do the recall job? Are there even any Coda dealers left to perform the work?
