Chevy Volt owners travel 100 million miles, mostly electric

The Chevrolet Volt website keeps a log of the total miles driven by all of the Volts currently out in the wild – on the road, being used in everyday life. This is done via the in-car data system that sends info to Chevrolet as part of the rich media infotainment system. Chevrolet reports that Volt owners have logged 100 million miles in their Chevy Volts, and 66 million of those miles have been on fully electric power. That means there has been over 3.5 million gallons of fuel saved by Volt owners.

Since the Volts electric only range is around 1/3 that of the Nissan Leaf, it’s more proof that most of our driving can be done within the 100 mile range of an electric vehicle.
