Chevrolet Canada has announced the Chevy Spark EV will be available for public sale, not just fleet sales, starting with the 2015 model year. Robert Pagé, Communications Manager at GM Canada, has confirmed, and re-confirmed with Aveq.ca that the 2015 Chevy Spark EV will go on sale in Spring 2014, and will be available for retail sales in Canada.
Currently, the 2014 Chevy Spark EV is only available to fleets in Canada and restricted in the US to just Oregon and California.
Aveq.ca originally listed the 2015 Spark EV at $29,995 with a shipping cost of $1500, but as of November 7th had removed the pricing info with a comment that “GM Canada will formalize price in a few months” (loosely translated).
The SAE Combo quick-port charger option is said to cost $800.
