The Chevrolet Bolt is GM’s first pure electric vehicle that is set to be available worldwide (the Spark EV is an emissions compliance vehicle in the USA). First announced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2015, GM say the Bolt electric vehicle will have a range of 200+ miles, and a starting price of $30,000 after incentives. The Chevy Bolt EV will be available in late 2016 or early 2017, likely in an effort to beat the Tesla Model E to market.
The new 2020 Chevy Bolt EV gets a battery pack upgraded which will increase the overall capacity to 66 kWh, thus increasing the EPA range to 259 miles per charge.
