Slated for world premieres at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, Volkswagen unveiled the production ready e-Up! and e-Golf today.

The Volkswagen E-Up! uses a 60-kW electric motor that can propel the small vehicle from 0-62 mph in 12.4 seconds and has a top speed of 81 mph. With an 18.7 kWh battery pack, the range is estimated at around 100 miles.

The Volkswagen e-Golf is slightly larger, so it received more powerful internals including an 85-kW motor and a 24.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The e-Golf has a range of 118 miles, and can do 0-62 mph in 10.4 seconds.

Driving dynamics on both vehicles are controlled through 2 drive modes and 4 brake regeneration settings. Each vehicles also shares features like climate control and navigation, and both can be charged to 80% in around 30 minutes using the CCS chargers in Germany (and we would assume similar Level 2 or 3 chargers in other parts of the world).

The e-Golf is the first Volkswagen to get LED headlights.
