Goodyear has developed a tire that uses piezo-sensors that actually generate electricity from the heat generated as the tire rolls down the road. Chances are the amount of electricity generated is so small as not to make a difference in EV range, but an interesting idea none-the-less. Perhaps something that will become more beneficial in the future
