Up to $5000 available off of Prius Plug-in

In an attempt to spark sales of Toyota’s least popular Prius variant, Toyota is offering as much as $5,000 in financing funds for some versions of the Prius Plug-in.

Until December 4rd, buyers can get $5,000 bonus financing cash on the Plug-in Prius Advanced model and $4,000 on the regular Prius Plug-in. Buyers will also receive zero percent financing for 60 months, and eligible buyers can still claim the $2500 federal tax credits.

Through October, Toyota has sold about 9,600 Prius Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, which is less than a third of the number of Prius V or Prius C variants.

The Prius Plug-in is rated at 95 MPGe by the EPA in pure electric mode, and 50 MPG combined in hybrid mode, matching that of the regular Prius model. Drivers can expect up to 6 miles of 100% electric range.
