Production Nissan e-NV200 unveiled in Geneva

At the Geneva Motor Show, Nissan has unveiled the production ready version of the e-NV200 electric van (as they said they would). Nissan will first be introducing the van in Europe, and it will make it to North America but no dates were given.

Nissan has redesigned the van, and they say around 30% of it has been changed. You’ll notice a smoother, curvier front hood and bumper, which was likely done to increase efficiency by decreasing wind resistance.

The e-NV200 uses the same 24 kWh battery pack as the Nissan Leaf, but the pack itself is built in a different layout and shape in order to fit more effectively into the van chassis and maximize cargo volume.

The Nissan e-NV200 electric van will be produced in Nissan’s Barcelona, Spain plant, and is scheduled to go on sale in the U.K. in June, which is a few months later than the original estimate of May of this year.
