According to Mercedes, “The future of the automobile will not occur all at once, or in one form, but from a diversity of progressive innovations.” One of those inovations is their first fully electric automobile, the B-Class electric drive. In addition, Mercedes will be adding plug-in hybrid versions of some of their most popular vehicles over the next few years.

Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive is the first all electric vehicle by the automaker. Clearly set to battle the BMW i3 in the luxury electric vehicle segment, Mercedes has priced the B-Class $100 higher than the i3. Mercedes has been saying all along that the electric range will be in the ‘3 digit range’ which would make this EV a real challenger.
