Some EV's are a much cheaper in different parts of the world would it be cost effective to import them and if we did would they be right hand drive?

I haven't actually looked into this but I can't imagine with freight costs and duties at the border that this would be cost-effective

This wouldn't work without too much complication a big factor would be our voltage difference we're on 120 there on 240 or 220 something along those lines

It would depend on the cost of importation. If the cost is bigger than the price difference, there's no need to go through the trouble.

I think there's too many issues at hand one of the largest one I can see is that are voltage's 120 vs. 240 not to mention import fees the cost of getting it here Duty and taxes etc

It will never be cheaper to ship from Europe to here versus just buying a vehicle here

Cost effective? More like it would double in cost and so many issues as mentioned above, the voltage and right hand drive. Maybe some electric vehicles are much cheaper but not worth it for main stream models. I do wonder about the little tiny electric vehicles that come out of some of the Nordic countries. You can buy them online. I would imagine they are wired not for our in house electric systems The online cars are so tiny I wonder if you could just get an adapter like you do for your curling iron and plug them in lol lol lol
