Solar Eclipse - who lives in the path?

Does anyone live in the path of totality? I'm thinking we should go and see it, to get the full experience: http://solareclipse2017info.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Map-of-the-United-States-showing-the-path-of-totality-for-the-2017-Solar-Eclipse-768x384.jpg http://solareclipse2017info.com/where-ca...

RE:Hyundai's future plans for a 200 mile and 250 mile range electric vehicle

I think this is good news - the 200+ mile electric vehicle competition is heating up. Agreed, if these are $50K then it isn't competition at all, but very likely will be at a price point that will target the Bolt EV and Model 3 customers. If these are EPA numbers that is fantastic news..... although...

RE:Specs that we know so far

I'd like to see efficiency results of a drive with the battery topped off and then let the car decide when and where to switch between petrol and electricity.

RE:Range and mileage test videos

And here's a video of the BMW 330e driving on the highway with a depleted battery pack. Eco Pro mode achieved a 38 mpg rating.

China set to toughen vehicle emissions standards

China's Ministry of Environmental Protection is studying California's zero emission vehicle program, and they would like to introduce a similar program in 2020. Carmakers would be required to sell a certain number of pure-electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and that has some of them concer...

Re: Model 3 Trunk vs Hatchback - are you happy with it?

My Focus Electric is great except for the trunk - but that's because they didn't design it from the ground up to have a battery pack, so they just plopped the pack in the trunk. However, at the same time, as I get older the hatchback wins every time. I don't want to have to go diving and digging aro...

Tesla's next move - SEXY - what will Model Y look like?

It's likely that Tesla is already working on the Model Y - vehicle manufacturers have to be thinking years ahead right? So what is the Model Y? Many on the interweb have talked about a CUV based on the Model 3 platform. Wouldn't that be awesome if they announced the production lines were dual setups...

Second generation Volt is a sales success?

In April 2016, the 2nd gen Volt sold 1983 copies. Last year, the 1st gen Volt sold 905 copies. That puts the Volt total sales above the LEAF total sales! http://gas2.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/2017-volt-green-1-via-Inside-EVs.jpg There is definitely more of an 'interest' in plug-in hybrid and el...
