Nissan USA has sent out an email to those who signed up to be ‘reminded’ of when they can order a Nissan Leaf. The email states the ‘Nissan LEAF will be available in US markets nationwide.’

‘Your time has arrived. Orders for the 2012 Nissan LEAF will begin in March, making the Nissan LEAF available nationwide. We are officially a 100% electric nation.’ The email goes on to explain a further email will be send around March 6th with details on when you will be able to order your Leaf – which we’re assuming will be sometime later in March, otherwise the Nissan LEAF won’t be available nationwide in March 2012.

Other than that, the email pushes the charging station locator, and a ‘Plot Your Course’ range simulator.

If Nissan can follow through on it’s promise, the Nissan Leaf will be the first 100% electric vehicle available nationwide.
