Way back in 2010, Coda automotive announced the all electric Coda Sedan – a 4 door, 5 passenger electric vehicle with a 33.8kWh battery pack and a claimed range of 120 miles per charge. Even so, they’ve struggled from the start to sell the Sedan, even reducing the price drastically didn’t move many cars.

After laying off much of its staff, the Los Angeles based Coda closed its LA showroom.

Coda is also facing several court battles from investors who invested over $200 million into the company.

The space in high-traffic Westfield Century City shopping center will soon be re-opened as a showroom for Tesla Motors… interesting!
