According to an announcement by GM Executive President Mark Reuss at the LA Auto Show, GM will unveil the production version of its 200 mile Bolt electric vehicle at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in January 2016. General Motor’s CEO Mary Barra is the keynote speaker at CES, so it makes sense that the company will announce something big.
It was almost 1 year ago that the concept version of the Bolt EV was unveiled at the 2015 North American International Auto Show and created a media frenzy.
The Chevy Bolt is on track to be the first ‘affordable’ 200-mile electric vehicle to hit the market and will be a direct competitor to the Tesla Model 3. Both electric vehicles are said to be well under the $40,000 price.
