Late yesterday, BMW cleared the i3 Rex for delivery and BMW dealerships received a ‘release hold’ order. That means the first BMW i3 Rex orders will occur today!

In other i3 news, the EPA has finished rating the i3 Rex. The electric range is 72 miles, with a total range of 150 miles.

For efficiency, the BMW i3 Rex is rated at 117 MPGe combined, and 39 MPG in gasoline only mode. This is slightly lower than the 124 MPGe combined of the non-range-extended BMW i3.

  1. I just drove one last week. It was incredible. Smooth, responsive and most so very easy to drive!
