Today is the day BMW set aside long ago to reveal the i3 at 3 locations simultaneously around the world. With the unveiling of the BMW i3 in North America, we not only got to see the production version of the i3, but we also learned of the pricing for BMW’s production electric vehicle.

Pricing for the BMW i3, before federal or local incentives, starts at $41,350. For the Rex range extended model, pricing starts at $45,200. The electric vehicle will go on sale in quarter 2 of 2014 in the US (previously, BMW has said the first models available will be the Rex version).

Here’s the high resolution photos that accompanied the BMW press release.
