Aston Martin may build electric Rapide sports car in 2-3 years

CEO Andy Palmer (if the name sounds familiar it’s because he used to be with Nissan) says that Aston Martin may build an electric version of the Rapide sports car in two to three years. The Rapide EV would be part of a plan to overhaul the companies lineup and add several new models.

Aston Martin is currently in talks with several electric vehicle technologies companies, saying “We are looking at technologies around the world, including some pretty cool technologies from Silicon Valley.” No details were given, but Palmer did say that Tesla is not one of the companies.
