2014 Cadillac ELR at Jay Leno’s Garage for a test drive

Jay Leno’s garage has received a 2014 Cadillac ELR – and he gets to drive it on the open road and test it out. Leno owns a Chevy Volt so he is more than aware of the inner workings of the ELR since it shares the same (but slightly modified) drivetrain. Check out the 15 minute video below, where Leno’s team says “Lose your range anxiety and get lost in the luxury of leather, wood, and carbon fiber” in the Cadillac ELR.

The slightly modified parts of the Chevy Volt drivetrain found in the ELR include a motor with 58 horsepower and 23 lb-ft of torque more than the Volt’s motor, and 35 miles of electric range which is 3 miles less than the Volt.
